Drew Jurecka was nominated for a Grammy for Record of the Year Grammy for his string arranging, playing and engineering work for pop sensation Dua Lipa. Drew has produced and recorded countless arrangements for artists including Metric, Alvvays, Donovan Woods, Jill Barber, Bahamas, Rose Cousins, Royal Wood, Laila Biali, Dermot Kennedy, Bülow and Ron Sexsmith. Composition

Rebekah and Drew have received multiple grants to compose music from the Ontario Arts Council and Toronto Arts Council. Recently, Wolkstein was commissioned by executive producer Dan Rosenberg to compose four new works for the upcoming album “Silent Tears- the last yiddish tango” which was recorded by her band, Payadora Tango Ensemble and produced/ recorded and mixed by Drew Jurecka. She recieved first place for one of her pieces at the 2022 Yiddish Music Awards.

Rebekah & Jurecka are currently composing and producing music for a new kids TV show.

Rebekah & Jurecka Duo

Drew Jurecka and Rebekah Wolkstein have been performing as a duo together since 2001 while students at the prestigious Cleveland Institute of Music. They performed twice a week as strolling musicians at an Italian restaurant during this time. They became comfortable taking requests, improvising and playing all genres of music. They also co-write and perform their own music together.

As a duo, they perform jazz, classical, world music and fiddle. They play violins, viola, guitar, banjo uke, mandolin, harp, piano, clarinet, Hardanger fiddle, saxophone, bandoneon, accordion and they sing together.

As a duo, they have performed at Harbourfront's Summer Music in the Garden, Aeolian Hall, Xenia Concerts, National Arts Centre's 'Canada Presents' series, Ottawa ChamberFest, and livestreams for Music Together and Toronto Musicians Association.

Rebekah and Drew perform with their children and have been popular musical videos as a family.
